In windows when you want to get rid of a program that is not needed, you go to the Control Panel and then click the "Add/Remove Programs" and uninstall the program you don't want.
Now here is my question:
I just bought a new MacBook, there is program I downloaded that I don't want anymore. Do I have to uninstall it (Like Windows). If so, where? Or can I just place the program in the Trash Canmac and microsoft are pretty much the same thing. just right click on it and hit delete or uninstall which everyone is there and it will show up in your trashcan. when it does go to your trash can and delete it from there and it will be completely goneJust place it in the trash and then empty the trash.Just drag it to the trash can, and empty the trash. Simple.
If you're worried about little files in your system or library, download AppZapper.Mac is nothing like Microsoft. Even if you buy the mac version of Windows office, there is a big difference in small things. The mac is easier though. It is very user friendly and figures out what you are trying to do and gives you options if it can't figure it out. Everything you don't want you can put in the trash can even programs. Also go to mac.com, they have great tutorials. Mac's help button is not as much help as the website tutorials. It depends on the program, but most OS X programs are removed by simply dragging the icon from your Applications folder to the Trash. In some instances like Microsoft Office, however, you need to run the uninstall program that is usually located inside the Application folder of the specific program. No, there isn't anything in the System Preferences to remove programs. Better programs come with an uninstall tool, or at least a list of files installed in the readme file. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
